Ella and Evan have decided that the most comfortable way to sleep is on their tummies!!! Hmph. Ella is fairly new to this style, but Evan has been doing it longer. I don't like it; in fact, I HATE it! I don't like the idea of them smashing their faces in to the mattress or bumper (even though it's really thin). The whole SIDS thing scares me half to death. I'm a worrier by nature, so this is by no means an exception. You have no idea how many times I have gone in to check on them (which is about a thousand times a day now), to find them on their tummies, and roll them back over to their backs. It's no good. They roll back over less than a second later. I'm constantly worried. There isn't anything I can do about, but it still bothers me.
Anyway, here's a couple pictures of my little ones peaceful on their tummies. Oh, and their clothes are unbuttoned because we just got back from taking them to get the other half of their 4 month shots. They both cried this time, and the nurse told me that Evan's leg may bruise because she hit a vessel! :( Luckily, I was able to comfort them quickly and food right there to eat afterwards. My poor little monkeys.

This is only the first of many battles you will lose to them. ;)
You can buy "breathable bumpers" if you're really worried about that...
I am so right there with you on this worry! Miss Gywn became a tummy sleeper a month ago and I don't like it one bit. Nothing to be done about it, though (but to keep praying for their protection!).
I went through the same thing! Having a video monitor helped me since I could see her and hear her...I would see her move from place to place and be comforted. They say the use of a pacifier helps so they have that goin' for them! :) Hang in there. I know, easier said than done.
Missing them!
I remember this happening to L, so Rob and I would try to flip him back. :) Then we found out that the risk of SIDs goes down quite a bit at this age. When L started flipping over then we took the bumpers out right away. I remember the Dr. saying it was ok that he was doing this...I hope that helps. :)
Mine did this too early also. I think my Ped. told me it was less of a concern once they can roll both ways on their own. Mine were preemies though and I remember they couldn't roll both ways and I still slept them on their tummies b/c they were so content.
I, like you, checked on them a million times though.
They are SO cute. I love the pool pics. Don't you just love those thighs!
