Lemons

Ella has a thing for lemons. It just started today, but she has become quite attached to them. I have no idea why, and I keep questioning my parenting abilities thinking that I am the root of the lemon attachment. Perhaps I'm not holding her enough or giving her enough attention? I'm kidding here, but still, why lemons???

My mom gave Ella and Evan some of the lemons that were on the counter and Ella decided that she would play with them ALL day. She kept them very close by with one tucked under her arm at all times (Greg was happy that she was holding it much like one would a football). At one point she dropped one and it rolled past the gate, out of her reach, and she started to cry. She held on to them during dinner time and snuggle time before bed. She was so content with them in her arms, I decided to let her take them up to bed with her. Still not sure if that was a good idea or not. I went up a bit later and took them out of the crib.
