5 Years

Five years ago today, Greg and I got married. We fell in love with this beautiful mansion and decided we'd get married there. The Grand Island Mansion books up almost 2 years in advance, so we were unsure if we'd be able to get it, seeing how we had a particular date that we wanted to get married on (I wanted to back it up to my spring break and we were working with only a 5 month engagement!). We had called and they miraculously had 2 dates available... one only a month away (YIKES!!!) and one on the EXACT date that we wanted! It was meant to be!!!

Greg and I met at church and had friends in common, but we didn't really hang out much. He was in a relationship and I was enjoying all the dating-- haha! =) All of a sudden, we both found ourselves single and running into each other at Saturday night church (we were both habitually late and would end up sitting in the back-- together). From there we started talking more and more... and that is how our story began. It happened slowly and was great getting to know each other, AND knowing what each other were like while dating others. I learned a lot about Greg's character and devotion to relationships, church, and family during this process. I'm an extremely lucky woman! We make a great team-- I couldn't think of a better partner to share my life with. Thank you, Greg for all that you are! I love our life together and all the memories we've made so far. We laugh all the time and have created a beautiful family! I look forward to the next 60 years! =)

Headed off to our honeymoon in our going away outfits!
