Puzzle Time

My little Ella Bean just loves to do her puzzles! Here's a little clip of her playing! =)

2:36 A.M.

I went in to check on the babies (like I always do) right before I went to bed and I found Evan sleeping like this in his crib. I find him like this a lot, but don't take the time to go get the camera (my mom always tells me to leave a camera by the table outside their room). Well last night I ran downstairs and grabbed the camera to get a shot of it. It's so funny how he sticks his legs through the slats to recline his legs and feet. What a goofy boy I have! =)

And here's a picture of my Bean just because she's cute and sweet! =)

Waking Up Happy

Often times the babies wake up from their nap and play in their crib (with no toys-- weird.). And most of the time they end up talking to each other and laughing at what the other is doing. Makes me wonder what in the world the other is doing that's so funny! Scary. This is also a great way of knowing they got enough sleep too... if they wake up crying then I know they aren't done... in this case they were down for almost 3 hours this morning. =)

So today (while I was napping with them) I heard Ella laughing hysterically. It went on and on, so I decided to grab the camera and put it near the cracked door opening. I'm not sure how well you'll be able to hear it, but it was pretty funny. I could hear Buddy running all over his crib, so I'm sure Evan was the source of her laughter! I caught it at the tail end and I think Evan saw the camera through the door opening, but you get to hear a little! =)

It Fit!

Yay, the dress fit! =) The collar didn't turn out as long as I would have liked (didn't have enough of that material), but it still looks pretty cute on her! I couldn't pry her away from her blocks to take a standing picture, but you get the idea! =)

More Projects!

I've really been trying to work on my sewing skills (often WAY too late in the night-- quiet mom!). I finally made a dress all on my own! It took me a couple of hours, but I think it turned out pretty cute! In the past I have always cut out the material and patterns and had my mom sew the items for me, but I'm finally learning to sew. I'm not that great at it, but it seems like it gets better and better with practice. Imagine that. =)

So here's the little dress I made for Ella. I just did it tonight, so I have no idea if it'll even fit her (PLEASE!). I'll post a picture of her in it as long as she's able to! =) I love the halter collar! And, of course, I think everyone should know by now that I'm a sucker for black and white and hot pink! =)

I posted this pic before, but this is an updated photo of an embellishment I added-- a cute yo-yo flower with button center!

More projects in the making... stay tuned! =)

Big Shoes to Fill

Ella and Evan are obsessed with shoes. Everytime I open up their closet door they point at say, "shoes, shoes". They love it when they come into contact with big people shoes too! In our house, we take off our shoes before entering the kitchen/family room because I don't like the babies playing with the yucky shoes and dragging yucky stuff on to the floor (which is where they always are). From time to time though, daddy comes home and takes off his shoes near the coffee table and the babies run to them. Last night they both decided that they wanted to put daddy's shoes on... they look so cute! You two have big shoes to fill, for sure! What a wonderful daddy he is and we're all lucky to have him!

Baby Gym Class-- Week 2

Last night Ella and Evan went to their second baby gym class. It was SO much fun! I was worried they'd cling to me like the last time, but as soon as we got there they both wanted down and took off to play! Ella immediately found the bag of balls and kept repeating, "ball, ball". =)
Evan decided that he was going to show of his walking skills this week (crawled last week). He found his way to the big windows in the building and stared at the trees and such. I don't think I'm going to be able to keep him indoors at all come summer! =) They had a great time though and decided to try everything out, although not always the correct way! haha
Here's some pictures from yesterday's festivities! For some reason, the pictures turned out really blurry this time-- ugh! I must have had them on a different setting!? My good friend Amanda sent me a few pictures (the non-blurry ones) that she got of the babies too! =)
Mommy and Ella

All excited to get going!

They both were SO excited about the trampoline and didn't understand that only 1 could be on there at a time. Yah, try explaining that to a bunch of 1-2 year olds! =)

Sweet Miss Gwyn knew exactly what to do!
Buddy climbed right on up to test it out!
These hoops were intended to walk on top of... yah, my babies had a different plan in mind! =)
Now you got it, Evan! =)
Evan showing Gwyn how to joust!
And then he found the balance beam. In his eyes it was a giant bench to sit on! =)

Look at me, mommy!
Ella decided to go snuggle with Amanda! =)
And the best party-- Bubble Time!
LOVE this picture that Amanda took of Ella trying grab the bubbles-- so sweet!

Little Mathematicians

The babies have decided that they're too smart for their "baby" toys and have moved on to more stimulating activities! They found daddy's calculator on the couch one day and were fighting over it. I pulled out another one and they haven't put them down the past few days. I'll see them sitting somewhere punchin' numbers-- too funny!

Check out these calculations!

Noodles

Last Friday night, during our date night, Greg and I found these noodles at a store. I instantly thought of the babies and how much they loved them during Baby Gym class and had to get them! As you can tell by these pictures they were very happy with our purchase! I've been trying to show them to crawl or walk over them, but they choose to walk around them-- haha! =) We'll see how tomorrow night goes at class!

Even though Ella wasn't walking around with a noodle, she still wanted me to take a picture of her (but of course, she turns her head when the time actually comes!).

My Little Walking Man

Here's a short video of Evan walking. I wish I could have filmed longer, but I got worried that if I went any longer that the file would be too large to post, without Greg having to compress it. But here he is, he's EVERYWHERE now! =)

Gym Class

I signed Ella and Evan up for a baby gym class in town. It's a 6 week course that is designed to build motor skills, body control, and basic gymnastics. We had some good friends, Paige, Levi, and Gwyn, join us and we had a great time. Ella and Evan were pretty reserved the whole time and clung to me throughout half of it, but after a while they ventured off on their own. We're really looking forward to next week! =)

Evan LOVED the noodle! They were supposed to crawl or walk over it, but Evan found that it made a great sword!
Just watching everything around them. It's hard to get both babies doing what they should be working on by yourself. Especially when it's pretty quick pace, changing stations pretty often. We'll survive though! =)

Hanging out with the kids!
Bean just sittin' back watching everyone. She got really excited when they brought out the parachute and balls to bounce them on. BUT didn't like it when you had to turn them in! :(

So cute! Levi, Gwyn, and Buddy playing with the balls.
Bean with her ball-- notice the death grip on it! =)

It's Not Our First Rodeo!

Actually it was. And...well... it technically wasn't even the rodeo, but only a parade to celebrate it that weekend! We went with our friends, Amanda, Paige, and Levi to Oakdale's annual Rodeo parade that takes place right before the start of Rodeo weekend. The Rodeo is huge in Oakdale, although I haven't ever been. We thought it would be a fun time with Ella and Evan experiencing their first parade, with lots of horses and floats going by. They had lots of fun! Evan sat with daddy on the curb and Ella sat comfortably on my lap the whole time, just soaking it all in! After the parade we walked over to a favorite bakery of ours, Moss Rose Bakery to get the kids something. It was a hit! I'm sure we'll do this all again next year! =)

Daddy and Evan

Mommy and Ella Bean-- she was very serious the whole time, soaking it all in!
It wasn't really that cold, and Greg even suggested taking off their hats, but I'm that type of mom that always wants them bundled up just in case!
Cousins, Kayli and Kevin came along to watch too! =)
Buddy peaking back to see what was going on.
