WA-WA

Ella and Evan have really been enjoying their mornings playing in the backyard. Since we've been trying to transition them to a one-nap-a-day schedule, I've been having to come up with some fun things to do. Their favorite by far is still playing outside with their house, swings, wagon, water table, and hose. We could definitely spend an easy 1 1/2 - 2 hours out there!

DANCE!!!

Evan just LOVES music and to dance! He made his daddy very proud by listening and dancing to one of daddy's most favorite songs ever! Buddy kept signing "more" everytime the song would end. Here's a short clip of Evan dancing... =)

Ella Kisses

My little Bean is so sweet and always gives the sweetest little kisses. Here's a video of me attempting to get her to give daddy kisses... but (of course!) they don't "perform" for the camera! I did get a little one at the end though... =)

Grandma's Chair

Ella and Evan just love to sit on Grandma's chair from when she was little. Ella has claimed the rocking chair and Buddy usually ends up sitting in the regular chair. This has to be their favorite thing to do at grandma's house! =)

More Funny Spots

Here are few more places to add to E & E's list of funny places to put things:

sippy cup in daddy's exercise bike
bowl in the stroller...
... buckled in! =)

Cousins

Greg's cousin Christy was in town with her daughter, Avery. Ella and Evan had a fun time playing with her since they're only about a month apart! They had lots of fun playing with bubbles, their water table, and fighting over toys inside! =)

Ella showing Avery where she keeps on her treasures!

Playdate

Ella and Evan had a fun morning playing with Jaycee and Addy. Their mom (Tiff) and I used to job-share together in 2nd grade. We don't get a lot of time to hang out anymore, so it's fun to get together and catch-up in between interuptions! =)

Enjoying their yummy snack!
E & E loved the trampoline... I think they remember it from their baby gym class!
Did I actually get a picture of them together!?! Not smiling, or looking at the camera, but definitely an improvement! =)

"mama, mama"

Neither one of my babies have ever outgrown the whole separation anxiety stage. It came and stayed. They both want me to hold them all the time and would be happy as can be to just lay next to me all day and snuggle. I would even go so far and say that I don't think Ella would be happiest if she was permanently attached to my hip. Here's some of the sad faces I get during the day when they want me to hold them. I hold them A LOT during the day, but there are times when I need to distract them and have to them go play.

Sad face asking for mommy to hold her.
NOT happy that I didn't pick her up-- look at that face!
Remembering that she has goodies in the cupboard to play with!

Yogurt

Ella and Evan are obsessed with feeding themselves the last bits of yogurt in the container. Here's a couple of pictures of Ella after her feeding (and you'll realize why I don't let her feed herself with the whole container!) =)

Buddy's 1st Haircut

It's been way overdue, so Buddy finally got his first haircut! We absolutely loved the curls in the back and how his wavy blonde hair flipped over his ears, but it was getting a little out of control. I was a little sad to do it because I felt like my baby boy wasn't going to look so little anymore... just trying to hold on to my babies, I guess. We asked Grandma Carmen (who's been cutting hair FOREVER!) to give him his first little trim. Even little Ella Bean got a few hairs trimmed off her bangs. Neither one of them were as excited as us, and pretty much cried the whole time (Buddy with tears, which is pretty rare). The outcome is pretty cute though and they both look neat and clean! =)

And here's my Bean gettting her bangs trimmed...

Independence Day

Our little family had a great day celebrating our country's freedom! We shared it with lots of family and had a great time at the parade too! Enjoy the pictures...
