Sickies

My poor little babies have been sick the past week. They caught a cold from their cousin when we went down to San Luis Obispo last weekend. To say the least, this past week has NOT been fun! I'm exhausted and I'm sure the babies are too! I feel so bad for them. Their noses have been running non-stop and they sound really congested. I've had the humidifier running in their room around the clock. And just when I think we're on the mend, they have a bad day... like today. Evan cried a good portion of the day and they both want to be held at the same time. Needless to say, trying to comfort two infants at the same time (by YOURSELF) is rather difficult. You walk by and they start crying and reach their arms out for you. Or try to grab your legs if you're standing nearby and climb on your lap while sitting next to them. It breaks your heart into a million pieces. Today I actually started crying out of exhaustion and frustration. They both stopped whining the instant I started, but soon after Ella started laughing at me! Seriously? She's such a stinker, that one! =)

They've been sleeping 14 hours at night (as oppose to 12ish), which sounds incredible, but has been messing my whole schedule up during the day. Some may be able to "go with the flow", but I'm very much a schedule person, and that will never change... no matter how many children we have! I had a woman at church tell me, "just wait until you have another baby!" (ridiculing my scheduling)... I responded with, "I ALREADY have the OTHER baby". Sometimes... argh!

Anyway, my life has been put on hold this week as far as getting things all put back in order from our trip and getting the babies all healed up and happy again. I was able to get in some pictures of happy play times though...

Please pray for a swift recovery of our little ones... it's so unfair that they can't tell you what hurts and have you fix it for them! :(

My sweet little Ella... you would think I never wiped their noses judging by these pictures! Hmph.

Sick or not, we still like to fight over toys!
