Big People Food

Ella and Evan have graduated to eating a lot of "big people" food. I have discovered that it is wise to eat my breakfast, lunch, etc. while they are sleeping, or I get about half of what I intended on eating. They have this weird ability to sense when I'm getting ready to eat too... they drop whatever their doing and find their way into the kitchen to tug on my pants. We usually end up on the floor sharing a meal. It's really cute and it makes me happy that they enjoy mommy's cooking (those fans are hard to find-- haha!). So here's an example of a meal they loved!

Pasta-- or as I was growing up we just called it "red macaroni". Actually we still do!
I chopped this up a little thinner than normal (they're used to chunks now)... I added some of their milk to it.
Ella trying to grab the bowl while I sat it down to take a picture.
My big moosey-moose!
And Miss Bean going for the camera!

Go ahead let them eat your food (or just give them Greg's, Greggie you got to learn to share, your setting a bad example, lol :). I think that's one of the things that helped me start losing weight! :) I would eat a lot slower cuz I gave Capri half my food (& it takes so much longer to eat when your not just feeding yourself) & would end up eating a lot less. Plus I think it helps the babies to develop a much wider food acceptance if they try more complex flavors than traditional baby food before they get older & start getting picky. And I also like establishing regular "Family meal times" around the table.
