Friday I had another Dr. appointment. My sister makes fun of me because I contact my doctor via email and/or in-office appointments often. I can't help it. Dr. Troung is the one that made the mistake of telling me that I could come in any time I felt worried about anything. And let's face it, I have never been pregnant before (let alone with twins!) so I am constantly worried and wondering what this and that means. He even told me that I can't compare what I'm feeling with anyone that has had a single baby because my uterus is growing "exponentially" compared to that of a singleton pregnancy. Anyway, I got to see our babies and my mind is at ease for another two weeks or so (hopefully!). The pictures of the babies will become more and more difficult to view. For one, they are continuing to grow big and strong and will soon not be able to be pictured together. And secondly, these babies are VERY active! They move so much during their photo shoots that getting a decent, non-blurry picture is next to impossible. It literally took my doctor about 5 minutes to capture and calculate baby A's (baby on bottom) heart rate. His exact words were that "... baby A is not cooperating and will not stop moving...". It made me laugh so hard, causing my belly to shake while he was trying to view them. I often laugh at how wiggly they are. I continue to question why they are wiggling so much. What are they wiggling for or to? Are they wiggling just to wiggle? It's strange to know that they are moving all around inside of me and I can't feel them (yet!). Let's just all pray that we don't have hyper-active children! :)
I hope you can make out parts of the babies. Individual pictures are usually more successful, but you can make out some features. Baby on left is upside-down. You can see their head, body and an arm. Baby on right is laying sideways and looks as though they are saluting with their hand and arm up to their head. Their heart rates change often and usually decreases. This is normal and will continue to decrease as they get bigger and depending on their activity. I asked my doctor if heart rates are any indication for gender and he swiftly and firmly responded with a NO! He said that despite what myths I hear and read about, heart rates do not indicate whether a baby is a boy or a girl. Hmph. At this appointment, Baby A's heart rate was 142 and Baby B's was 146.

I am so excited for you and Greg. Twins, a double blessing. This morning I was thinking to myself I wonder when Kari will be prego and then what-do-you-know an e-mail saying you are comes in. We will keep you in our prayers. When is your due date?
They are so cute! You can totally see them. Ultrasounds are so much fun. :) I'm so happy for you. Baby B looks like it's doing yoga.
1) Kari! This page is so cute! For being new to the blogger world, I am quite jealous of your expertise... 2) Congratulations on the "double" blessing. This will be so fun to keep up with!
